Iréne Oldfather
Iréne Oldfather has worked with Dr. Frazer since 1989 as a Hygienist and Steward Team Leader. She began teaching with Dr. Bob in 1994 and has been a Consulting Associate since 1997. As a role model Steward Team Leader, her primary role is to introduce the Stewardship model from a team member's perspective to doctors and their staff.
She also helps implement and accelerate the Applied Strategic Planning (ASP) process into the practice. She acts as a consultant to the dentist and as a coach to team members in all positions. She often visits the coaching client and ASP offices for direct work with their teams. She teaches in the New Patient Experience—particularly the role of the Health Relationship Coordinator, the case worker for all new patients.
She typically works with Hygiene departments to move them to top 2% status with increased profitability. She loves to create, build, or reorganize and to design a hygiene department that stands apart from the rest offering Health and Wellness services beyond the cleaning of teeth. She is not compelled to work within the guidelines of the past which often had little rhyme or reason, such as 6-month re-care, and everyone gets one-hour appointments, etc.
Iréne loves team building, team communication, and helping clients create fabled customer service. She is skilled at implementing effective systems in all areas, especially monitoring key metrics. She is very comfortable discussing Practice Financial Health with the team and discussing the Hygiene Department as a business.
Iréne was instrumental in Dr Bob’s practice in structuring effective team meetings such as: Morning Huddles, Departmental and Practice Team Meetings, and Annual and Bi-annual Planning Sessions. She finds these of utmost importance to becoming a highly successful practice with a strong sense of team member ownership.
She is an excellent, content rich, and entertaining speaker who has presented programs at a number of state and national meetings—including the ADA. With over 45 years in dentistry and more than 40 years as a dental hygienist, Iréne brings a very practical view of daily practice life. She is an outstanding role model for your team.
